GeologyGo requires an account. We may also collect standard usage information, such as the pages you visit on this website.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the app, including the map, collections, teams, claims, and leaderboards
- Show specimens near you and confirm you are close enough to collect
- Improve the experience
- Send important updates and notifications
- Analyze app performance and usage patterns
Specimen data
Your GeologyGo activity, including but not limited to:
- Specimens you collect
- Mineral information
- Team and claim activity
May be used for marketing purposes, potentially in collaboration with Geology365 affiliates. That use is anonymized and is not linked to your personal information. We do not use your location history for marketing.
Location
GeologyGo uses your location to show what is nearby and to record a collection. We keep the location of a collection with that specimen. We do not sell your location.

- Will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent
- Will be kept separate from your specimen data when that data is used for marketing
